Hopscotch-Programming for kids App Reviews

Get this app. Seriously though, read the description, and dont be whining if you didnt. Hopscotch lets you make awesome projects with blocks that are easy to get into. Great community and its overall fun.

Ok. First of all, I LOVE THIS GAME. But I dont like the reviews. First, people are complaining they cant make games. CAN YOU READ? It says in the description that currently you can only make things on IPad!!! Maybe its cause....oh yeah!!! The IPhone and IPod is small. Second, everyone is hating over "You cant move the shapes!!!" I mean, you can in The Editor, but when playing a game it needs to be coded. I know, MIND BLOWN. The tutorials are teaching you what each block does. Remember, though, I LOVE THIS GAAAAAME!!!

This is awesome but can you add if this color block and a random color from this color to this color randomly from the board to pick colors. Besides that this is an awesome coding app.

I loooooove this app!! I would recommend it to kids 5 and up! My 6 year old brother made a wonderful game, and its all so simple! Its not as advanced as Java or Python but not too simple either. The community is filled with so many amazing and kind people! What I love the most is that we all are there for each other. For a cancer patient. For me- when I got a surgery. For when your best friend dies. Its an amazing community that welcomes you with joy. Its very diverse with people all over; US to Japan! So many different projects, from art to games to music to text art to pixel art and contests... Also, you iPhone users? The iPhone version is coming out.

Sure, this app can be complaining if you dont know coding. However, there are tutorials that are extremely helpful. And if you are good at coding or want some inspiration, you can see what other people had created. In my case, Im not an expert on coding, but I know enough to make improvements on Fruit Ninja.

For those of you who say it is bad, IT IS NOT BAD!! You need an iPad/ iPad Mini in order to code!! Hopscotch is awesome!! Some coders are dumb, some are cool,(*cough*, TACOCAT

Get this app!Its. So fun and cool!If it was alive,I would squeeze it to death!I just think its so fun and cool kids like me can code in a game like this!

What surprised me the most about this amazing app was not its coding ability (Which Is amazing and easy to use) But that its community is so friendly and is there for anything, personal or something within hopscotch. This is worth 5 stars and a good review. Everyone whos interested should download and review.

This problem is bothering me so much that 8 have to chop off 4 stars. Why the "Remixes" channel? No offense to that one person, but once she called me stupid, then deleted the project right after. Then she goes and remixes my project with an intentionally bad drawing (have you seen her previous art?) to mess up my remix channel. Cant we just have those remixes in that channel Ive only the ones that were remixed from a project of our own creation? Now because Im doing those draw a meme projects, Im almost getting spammed by this one person! Doing really bad drawings to stick it in my channel forever...

Best game ever! I love it! Its all I ever play, and a great time passer. GET THIS RIGHT NOW!!! And the only thing that you buy is more charters! Which you dont even need! Plus you can use emojis! Best game EVER. Also my FAVORITE GAME EVER!

I love this game its amazing and one of a kind and now that Im good at it Im trying to figure out how to make a real game

This app is a great place for programming, but there is a few downsides. E.g, there is only one way to insert decimals, and that is by dividing. Also, Im not very good at pen projects, so its really hard to make a project. I would rate this 4 stars if you could draw your own characters.

Its very confusing and although it says that you can make your own game you cant cause it doesnt tell you how to make a game

I started playing Hopscotch in the spring of 2015 and I loved it. It was so cool and I really liked how I could see what my friends were making on there accounts. I loved making games and I still love it! Great app for everyone!

Not exactly any quantum physics here, just a lot of learning and fun.

First off, let me say this: Great App! Pretty easy to learn, I dont know what all this "you cant even move the characters" stuff is(BTW there is a vid on that) because this app is fairly easy to use. Great game! Thoruh, the reason the pixel art didnt work is because you didnt follow the video correctly. I have done the video and it works fine. Its not the game, its you.

I love the App. But I would like there to be a option to cancel a rule at a specific time or place. And so when you add an ability to one character you can also use that ability in a character in another project, it would be really helpful for you to do that. ;) also some way to make a 3D object in the game. Possibly using coordinates. If so. This would give an aspect of realism to the games. I would LOVE for you to add these details.
