Hopscotch-Programming for kids App Reviews

Nothing else like this on the iPhone. You can actually make playable games. Although there is a problem where you cant see the full app until after you do the first tutorial.

I love hopscotch! I love coding games. There is a few problems though. It randomly crashes when I am playing it. I dont like the new update. Please take it to the original version.

It is really confusing. But it would probably be fun if it was a little easier.

This app isnt that entertaining and I know more apps and websites that have more features on it than this app.

I fell in love the first time I saw it, an easy game coder!!!! It is easy to use, and when I found out you can publish your projects, I fell in a 10000ft deep hole in love, "I could publish my projects I said aloud, Great job HopScotch! 11/10 IGN rating!

You can make anything that you want.I made Pokémon go!

I have been on this app for over a year and over the months it has gotten better and better! It is the best app Ive ever had! It is a safe community for kids and no cyber bulling! When I first got it, it was confusing, but it got easier and easier! So once you get it dont give up! Now that I can code, Im one of the most famous or popular people on Hopscotch! I have met lots of kind people and made lots of friends! If you get this app, my username is CloudyCoding Studios! I 100% recommend this for adults and kids, and I hope you enjoy this app!! The one thing I hate THE MOST about this is now you have to pay for a membership? And you would think its $2.00 per month when its really $7.00! I thought Animal Jam was a ridiculous price, but now looking at it its reasonable. Dont get me wrong I love the concept its just the memberships are way over price. Maybe you could drop it down to $4? Just a suggestion.

Ok. So I absolutely despise this app. They decided to charge a lot of money so you can access pictures. The projects with pictures tend to be a lot better. I get you need money but its too expensive. My school isnt willing to pay for the subscription (even tho we have plenty of money) Also, they encourage kids to go on this website called "the hopscotch forum." It was supposed to be used for coding but it really isnt used that way. There used to be kid leaders but now there isnt. Liza and rodrigo do a HORRIBLE job of monitoring the forum. They never get mad at the kids who have a good reputation. But they always get mad at the kid with a bad reputation even if they didnt do anything. I should know. Twice I was suspended for something I didnt do. And ppl call each Other "Senpai" and "frenpai". Man up seriously. They have a rule that says no communication outside the forum. If you break that rule, you will be suspended.what right do they have to control your kids lives? If they arent on the forum than you cant control their lives. Also, kids Arent allowed to show pics of their face. If you are over 13 then you are Allowed to and hopscotch cant do anything to prevent that And there arent any kid leaders. But regulars always move other ppls topics to lounge which isnt cool. Also ppl need to relax. Kids flag way too much and always say "sbyp" or "GBOT" And hopscotch claims they need money which is why they charge for a subscription. I have a better idea. How about you stop paying for a supper expensive forum and either use a free one or have none at all Also, is isnt even real Coding. Do not get this app. Get scratch or something else instead where it is real coding -ella_13 Ps Promote new kid leaders

My son enjoys the app, it has great potential. However it’d be great to have a German translation if possible - there’s not too much to translate I think.

Lovely way to learn programming for kids. I wish i could see the real syntax as well.

My wishlist: if-then, repeat-until, turn without rotation, custom images, touch coordinates, goto-x-y
